Now let’s quickly jump to what we can do to finally impose our Online Marketing plan
Understand Your Market
One of the most important factors in the success of a company is an understanding of the market. There are many different ways that you can understand your market.
One of the most important ways to understand your market is through research. There are many sources of information that can tell you not only how your market works but also how markets in general work.
Engage in Social Media
Social media has become one of the main marketing channels for online businesses. However, there are ways that are very effective. A lot of business owners tend to just post ads.
While this is effective for established businesses, small business owners and online marketers would only have this backfire. A better approach is engaging the community. Finding relevant communities and engaging with them can be very helpful for you and your brand.
You will also have an easier time building a following. Another thing that you can do is connect with the influencers in your niche. This can also take you a lot further towards your goals
Generate Traffic With the Use of Giveaways and Promotions
You know those businesses that are often running promotions and giveaways. However, you should think about why they do that. One thing that a lot of established businesses understand is that when people are given a reason to buy from a certain business, they are more likely to do so.
You should take a similar principle. Offer a promotion or a giveaway. One example of a giveaway is that you can sell your product at a discount. This can attract more customers who might not otherwise buy your product. You can also offer rebates and other incentives such as a free product.
The best thing to do is use your imagination and also communicate with your customers
If You Can’t Measure It, Don’t Do It
Idea Booth was founded out of The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, so it’s safe to say we love data and insights. That said, around the office, we have this saying: “If you can’t measure it, don’t do it.” What this means is, you might think you have a great idea, you might love how it looks and feels and you think everyone is going to love it… But take a step back. How are you going to measure its success? And more importantly, is this effort continuing to drive the larger goal for your business?
Young entrepreneurs fall into the trap of wanting to do “everything.” It’s a never–ending cycle of throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. Rarely is this approach a good idea?
It’s far better to get clear on your end goal, find ways to work towards that goal, and then put specific metrics in place that will help give you feedback as to whether or not you are moving in the right direction—or if you’re moving too slow or too fast.
